Wine Trail Announces Cancellation of 2021 Door County Wine Festival
The wineries of the Door County Wine Trail are disappointed to announce the cancellation of the June 26, 2021 Door County Wine Festival. The annual gathering of the eight Door and Kewaunee County wineries has become a favorite summer celebration in Sturgeon Bay.
“Due to the uncertainty of both the COVID-19 pandemic and summer staffing for each of the wineries and organizations involved with putting on this great event, we are unable to present the quality of experience our customers expect from us,” said Carrie Viste, President, Door Wine Trail. “It’s with great regret that we will not be able to gather with our fellow Door County wine lovers at Sunset Park this summer.”
All tickets purchased for the 2020 event that were transferred to 2021 will be refunded. Those who bought tickets to the festival do not have to take any action.
Wine aficionados are encouraged to visit the wineries of Door and Kewaunee Counties at their tasting rooms as available this summer. The Door County Wine Trail includes the following wineries: Von Stiehl Winery, Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery, Stone’s Throw Winery, Red Oak Vineyard, Door 44, Simon Creek Winery, Door Peninsula Winery and Harbor Ridge Winery.
